Just Let Me

The “godly” Proud says “I am different. I am better than they are. I can teach them and help them so that they can be like me. I am closer to God than they are, so they need me.”

The Self-accuser says “I am not worthy to live.  I can’t do anything right, and even if I try, I can’t do it. It’s the way I live and I can’t change myself. I’m afraid of change. I’m traumatized by my past, and nothing can change my traumas..I just can’t make myself any better than who I am and I hate myself for that.”

The Progressivist says “all humans are good, just look at stuff in their perspective! There are reasons why they do stuff, you have no right to judge. I’m right, you’re right, they’re right, just do what you want.”

The Immoral says “Why d’yea care!? Just kill’em all they’re just a bunch of walking dirt! And who cares if I do —–?!? I do what I want and anyone who interrupts, well, haaahaha. Go ahead. And you’ll see.”

The Suicidal says “Nobody cares about me. Nobody loves me. Nobody listens to me. Nobody. I am alone among the crowds, I am alone among rats, I am alone among my family……and I will die alone. Nobody will even notice. I’m not needed here.”

The Romantic says “Life is all about love, they all say. But what do I get? a broken heart. I gave all of me to him…and he left me. He left me to shrivel in pain and loss. He doesn’t care about me. What is love? What is life without him? I care no longer about anything else. I am abandoned and hopeless.”

The Left-behind says “Life is too short. What do you even live for? It’s not worth the work, the determination, the perspiration, no – nothing. Time will catch up with you and then “poof” goes all you’ve done. That’s it. That’s all there is. What’s the stupid point?!”

The people of earth all raise their voices and together form a wave of screams, cries, wails, yells, and whispers.

And God says to them all – “Hey,”

All is silent. God continues:

“You are all  sinners and unworthy. You are all fallen and dead – but I love all of you. So please just…let me love you the way I want to. Take my hand and I’ll make you truly righteous and joyful. I will make you worthy. I will give you eternity in heaven. Please..just let me.”

Romans 3:23 – “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

Romans 5:8 – “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
